Sophia is a passionate and articulate paraplanner at Sentinel Asset Management, offering her experience in arbitration, hospitality and community outreach towards her role in financial planning. Recently licensed as a Certified Financial Planner, Sophia continues to pursue her education in Law and Jurisprudence at The University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

Dedicated to serving long before her professional career, Sophia began volunteering with the ASPCA at just 14 years old. Through this experience, she discovered different organizations that worked in continuity with the State of Maryland to help underserved areas thrive. Most recently, her efforts with WIC and the DDA serve the Howard, Anne Arundel and Harford County areas with a supplemental drive to provide formula, diapers, food and other necessities to families that are accessible through their public libraries.

The direct focus on education, enrichment and exploration are what Sophia holds in high regard to every element of her career. While she is technologically efficient, Sophia makes sure that financial literacy and systemic operations are pillars towards establishing financial security. Concise and precise, Sophia has serviced and managed restaurants within the hospitality industry, highlighting connections, stories and memories as a reminder to enjoy the process. If she looks familiar, you may have attended a wine tasting or two that she’s hosted.

Originally from Colorado Springs, CO, Sophia moved to Maryland with her nuclear family, later establishing a family of her own. While she’s out of the office, Sophia enjoys spending her time reading, hiking through nature trails, walking the halls of museums and creating science projects with her daughter Jacqueline. Her personal journey has brought forth many new insights and even more gratitude.
