William McKenzie joined Sentinel Asset Management in 2022 taking on the role of Head Paraplanner. After graduating from Whittier College in 2016 he jumped into private wealth management under Advisor Group in Los Angeles. There, he worked with 7 advisors directly and 2 branch managers focusing on efficiency in the office. Through the 5 years he spent in Southern California, he learned and gained a deep understanding of financial planning, estate planning, and legacy planning. He focused on compliance and was on track to become a branch manager before he decided to return the East Coast.
During his time in California, William discovered the profound impact of financial education. He finds it deeply rewarding to support clients during life’s most difficult challenges—such as a sudden illness or the loss of a loved one—knowing that he can offer immediate relief and assurance by saying, ‘We planned for this.’
Promoted from Head Paraplanner to Director of Operations, William now manages the firm’s daily business functions and serves as a key strategic partner to the owner and executive management team.
On the weekends, William enjoys taking camping and hiking trips to the local mountains with his wife Ally, and dog Spencer. When given the chance, you’ll find him headed back to California to enjoy the mountains, deserts and National Parks. Will also enjoys brewing beer, a craft he learned during a yearlong course taught through Sacred Heart University.
