Prior to joining his long-time friend of over 30 year, Will Warner, at Sentinel Asset Management, Mike worked for some of the largest companies in Connecticut and also owned and operated his own business. This experience has allowed Mike to understand, firsthand, the obstacles and concerns faced in preparing for a comfortable retirement. This understanding was magnified during his tenure working for Southern New England Telephone (SNET) where he was elected by his peers to serve, not just as union steward, but also on the bargaining team in the development and negotiations of employee contracts and benefits. In addition to advocating for others, at SNET, one of Connecticut’s oldest and largest companies, Mike worked in their advertising department helping local businesses promote themselves through print and digital media.

Prior to that, Mike started his business career working for Echlin Mfg., a Fortune 500 company, and its subsidiary Beck Arnley World Parts. As one of the organization’s youngest field representatives, he serviced a variety of customers, from large to small, until the company was sold to Dana Corp. and Mike decided to pursue new opportunities at SNET. This ever-changing world showed Mike that one must be prepared to adapt for the unforeseen when securing and managing one’s financial future. While still at SNET, Mike was recruited by a local insurance firm in Branford. This further broadened his experience as he grew a large book of business in this new field. In 2013, he opened up his own retail business. While enjoying this for six years, wanting to improve himself, he sold the business and joined Sentinel Asset Management.

He has two beautiful and smart daughters, who make him proud as they both earn high honors and have achieved black belts in Tae Kwon Do, all the while enjoying the extracurricular activities and sports of modern teenagers. Along with service to community, he and his family are involved with their community through business, his daughters’ schools, regularly volunteering with the Branford Community Dining Center and other community services. Mike has also donated time and resources to the Boy Scouts of America where he enjoyed earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
